Alcohol can be a trigger for an IBS outbreak and commonly causes diarrhea. Cigarettes are also a big no as they can affect the way the digestive system works.
Having food triggers to avoid is not always the most fun way to go about your life but for ongoing IBS symptoms it might be necessary to regain your life. Not all of these foods will be a trigger for everyone so you can try eliminating them from the diet one at a time and pay close attention to how your body reacts.
